The Thigpens asked landscape architect Dufreche-Perkins and Associates to assist them in the planning and design for a new pool at their residence in Springfield.

The pool plan featured a spa at the upper level that would spill into the pool. The pool decks were arranged so that it featured areas for passive and active use. The pool plan also featured a small cabana intended as a sitting and shade structure for the pool.
